The Matching Engine is how Be-Mobile matches individual traveller demand with the collective capacity of the infrastructure that carries it, across traffic management, tolling and mobility rights. Our Connected Driver & Infrastructure Hub makes that possible in real time.
Why matching matters
Mobility demand continues to grow, while physical infrastructure cannot expand at the same pace. The opportunity lies in using the network more intelligently: continuously aligning how people and fleets move with available capacity, real-time conditions and the rules that govern access.
This principle has shaped Be-Mobile from its origins in traffic information to the connected mobility ecosystem we build today.
What we match
On one side is individual traveller demand: the drivers, fleets and vehicles moving through the network every day. We reach them through our driver communities, Flitsmeister and SocialDrive, through third-party mobility apps, OEM in-vehicle systems and connected infrastructure.
On the other side is the collective capacity of the infrastructure that carries them: roads, highways, tunnels, bridges, parking facilities and other mobility infrastructure managed by road authorities, cities and toll operators.
Be-Mobile brings the two together continuously through our Connected Driver & Infrastructure Hub. It creates a two-way connection between road users and infrastructure operators, allowing data, information, rights and transactions to flow across the same ecosystem in real time. Be-Warned turns real-time traffic and safety signals into trusted information, warnings and intelligence for road users and operators. Be-Pass connects the mobility rights and transactions that determine how people access parking, tolling and urban space.
Be-Warned, the real-time traffic and safety layer within the hub
Be-Warned is the real-time traffic and safety layer within Be-Mobile’s Connected Driver & Infrastructure Hub. It is the driver- and OEM-facing layer that brings the real-time traffic and safety side of our matching-engine vision to life: road authorities, operators and partners can reach road users with relevant real-time information, while road-user signals flow back to validate and enrich the wider mobility ecosystem.
How it works in practice

Signals arrive
Every second, signals from many sources enter Be-Warned at once: vehicle and field signals, road authority data, connected-driver data such as floating car data and event reports, and more.

Validate and normalise
Be-Warned validates and normalises every incoming signal into a common format, so data from very different sources becomes comparable.

Merge and decide
When multiple sources report the same event, the Merge & Decide engine groups them by type, location and timing, and ranks by trust to publish a single, reliable event.

The network responds and improves
Drivers receive relevant in-car alerts, while operators gain actionable traffic intelligence. Road users confirm, correct or dismiss the event, continuously improving accuracy.

Where Be-Warned connects real-time traffic and safety information with drivers and operators, Be-Pass connects mobility rights and transactions across the same ecosystem, covering areas such as tolling, parking, permits and urban access. Together, they allow the hub to connect not only information, but also the rights and transactions that shape how people use mobility infrastructure.
One approach across three mobility domains.
We apply the same matching principle across three domains. Traffic Management helps road authorities understand and manage traffic flow, events and safety. Tolling connects road use with charging and transactions. Mobility Rights connects road users with parking, permits and urban access rules. Different applications, built on the same connection between road users and infrastructure.

Be-Mobile works with a broad mix of real-time, historical and transactional mobility data across Traffic Management, Tolling and Mobility Rights. This includes connected-driver and floating-car data, event reports and road-user feedback; road authority and infrastructure data such as speed limits, roadworks, closures and traffic conditions; vehicle, OEM, fleet and roadside signals; map, routing and location data; GNSS, ANPR, DSRC and toll transaction data; and data related to parking, permits, charging, low-emission zones and urban access.
Not every data flow passes through the same system. Be-Warned connects and validates the driver- and infrastructure-facing traffic and safety flows, while Be-Mobile\u2019s wider platform ecosystem applies the relevant data within each mobility domain.
